How to choose drip bag coffee?

1. Production date: Generally, freshly ground coffee powder is the freshest. Drip bag coffee is carefully roasted and ground, then immediately sealed in bags. Try to buy ones with a recent roasting date; after more than 2 months, the taste will deteriorate.

2. Completeness of information: Coffee bean information includes variety, grind size, origin, roaster, etc.

Advantages of drip bag coffee:

  1. Compared to instant coffee, drip bag coffee has a richer flavor. Drip bag coffee offers more choices to experience coffees from different origins, processing methods, and roast levels, and allows you to enjoy more specialty coffees with unique flavors.

1. Drip bag coffee contains no additives such as flavorings or creamer, making it healthier.

2. Affordable, quick and convenient to brew, easy to carry, and no brewing equipment needed.

When the market was still using commercial blended coffee beans (commercial beans), Front Street already supplied "filter-typedrip bag coffeebags made from specialty estate coffee beans," with offerings numbering in the dozens. The Front Street drip bag coffee series features flavors from multiple regions: the floral and fruity Ethiopian Front Street Flower Queen drip bag, the Brazilian nutty Front Street Cerrado drip bag, the rich Indonesian Front Street Mandheling drip bag, the balanced Panamanian Front Street Diamond Mountain... Since coffee beans lose aroma rapidly after grinding, all drip bags shipped by Front Street ensure freshness, so everyone can enjoy the rich aroma of the coffee.

Brewing method sharing

1. First, the net content of coffee powder in drip bag coffee is clearly labeled (usually 10 grams). This solves the need for a grinder and an electronic scale.

2. Next, let's address the water amount and water temperature. As with pour-over coffee, use a ratio of 1:15 to 1:16, so the brewed coffee liquid should reach 140 ml to 150 ml. Use a water temperature of about 90°C; if you have a thermometer or temperature-controlled kettle, use those first. If not, you can estimate the temperature: generally, after boiling water in a kettle, turn off the heat source and open the lid, wait 2-3 minutes, and the water temperature will reach about 90°C (at room temperature 28°C).

3. Once ready, preheat a mug (cup), take out the drip bag and tear open the sealed opening, spread out the two "ears" on both sides of the filter bag, hang it on the rim of the mug, and shake the coffee powder layer flat.

4. For the first pour, just moisten the coffee powder layer completely, and let it bloom for 30 seconds.

5. After blooming, do the second pour: pour in a small stream in a circular motion directly to fill, wait for the powder layer to drop slightly and continue pouring to full, repeating until the coffee in the cup reaches about 140-150 ml. Then remove the drip bag and enjoy.

6. If you want a more precise water amount, you can also pour 150-160 ml of water into the pouring kettle. During brewing, after all the water in the kettle has been poured, wait for the coffee liquid to flow into the cup, then remove the drip bag. The entire brewing process takes about 1 minute.

Since drip bag coffee is pre-ground coffee powder, the flavor dissipates faster than with whole coffee beans. So if you want to enjoy the coffee's flavor, consume it as soon as possible.
