For the production of drip coffee bags, Front Street Coffee uses freshly roasted coffee beans ground to a suitable particle size, then seals them in a non-woven filter bag, making it a portable drip coffee product and essentially a simplified version of pour-over coffee.

As long as you have hot water and a cup, you can enjoy the taste of single-origin pour-over coffee anytime. Because it is freshly roasted and ground from whole beans, with no added sugar or non-dairy creamer, drip coffee bags can further express the aromatic substances in coffee, perfectly showcasing its acidity, sweetness, bitterness, body, and aroma.

Instant coffee, on the other hand, is made by grinding roasted coffee beans under certain temperature and pressure, extracting the effective components into water, and then drying it. To facilitate the drying process, many instant coffees use vacuum concentration during production, a process that causes all the natural aromas and essence of the coffee to disappear during processing. So many times, the coffee flavor people taste in instant coffee is simulated by artificial flavorings.

Therefore, drip coffee bags and instant coffee are not the same thing! The particles in drip coffee bags are coffee beans, about 70% of which is木质 fiber, which cannot dissolve directly in water, so you cannot just pour it into a cup to brew!! Nor can you steep it directly in hot water like a tea bag (the incorrect demonstration in the picture below).

To brew drip coffee bags, we need to prepare a straight-walled cup and a pot of hot water at around 90 degrees.

Then after tearing open the package, we will see a filter packet containing coffee particles with two cardboard tabs.

There will be a dashed line at the top of the filter packet, and we need to tear along the dashed line to open the filter packet.

Next, gently pull apart the paper tabs on both sides and secure them stably on both sides of the cup.

Then we add water to the coffee particles in the filter packet in small amounts multiple times (make sure the water is poured onto the coffee grounds!), with each addition not exceeding 90% of the filter bag's capacity.

The drip coffee bags sold by Front Street Coffee (FrontStreet Coffee) have a net content of 10g per small packet. To brew a full-bodied and balanced coffee, Front Street recommends a brewing ratio of 1:13–15. You can adjust according to your taste preferences by pouring 130–150g of hot water. Brewing too much water at once can easily make it taste weak~

Drip coffee bags are a single-use product. After brewing once, the flavor substances in the coffee are about 7788 released, so you can just throw it away after brewing~ Brewing a second time does not have much flavor and can easily taste woody/unpleasant bitterness.

The taste of drip coffee bags depends on the flavor of the coffee beans themselves. So if you like acidic coffee, you can try the "Yirgacheffe Region Seasonal Drip Bag" sold by Front Street Coffee (FrontStreet Coffee), a medium-light roast with fruity acidity; if you prefer something neither too acidic nor too bitter, you can try the "Brazil Region Local Drip Bag," a medium-dark roast with nutty flavors.
