When you stand in front of the counter at a coffee shop and look at the dazzling array of coffee flavors, such as the commonLatte,Cappuccino,Mocha Coffeeor Macchiato, do you feel a little confused? This special compilation by Front Street Coffee (FrontStreet Coffee) will not only help you clearly understand the taste differences among various Italian coffees, but also teach everyone the mixing ratios~

What we call EspressoItalian-style concentrated coffeeis a highly concentrated coffee made by using an espresso machine to increase pressure. Because Espresso has a strong flavor and powerful taste, many people are not used to drinking it. Therefore, after espresso spread around the world, people in different countries added different ingredients to it, using espresso as the base, and derived many different types of coffee. å
Among them, Italian coffee products with milk added can be said to be dazzling. Among them, latte, cappuccino, macchiato, and mocha were widely promoted globally by Starbucks, so many friends in China have a deep impression of these Italian milk coffees.
No matter which Italian milk coffee it is, we first need to prepare an espresso machine with a steam wand. Then choose medium-dark roasted, mellow-tasting blended coffee beans specially formulated for espresso. The taste of coffee depends on the coffee beans themselves and the degree of roasting.

At present, Front Street Coffee (FrontStreet Coffee) sells four Italian blended coffee beans, all of which are sent as whole beans by default within 5 days after roasting is completed, ensuring that the coffee beans everyone receives are 100% freshly roasted. After receiving the coffee beans, you can check the roasting date on the back label and start using them 7 days after that date, allowing the coffee beans time to release carbon dioxide on their own and further ensuring extraction stability.
"Warm Sun Blend Coffee Beans" 79/227g: Ethiopia natural Red Cherry coffee beans (30%) + Honduras Sherry barrel coffee beans (70%), with rich wine aroma, vanilla cream, berry sweetness and acidity, and roasted nut flavor.
"Front Street Specialty Blend Coffee Beans" 75/454g: Colombia washed coffee beans (30%) + Brazil semi-washed coffee beans (70%), with flavors of nuts, dark chocolate, and caramel.

"Front Street Commercial Blend Coffee Beans" 60/454g: Robusta washed coffee beans (10%) + Colombia washed coffee beans (30%) + Brazil semi-washed coffee (60%), with flavors of nuts, cocoa, and caramel.
"Front Street Dark Cocoa Blend Coffee Beans" 50/454g: Yunnan washed small-bean coffee (30%) + Brazil semi-washed coffee beans (70%), with soft fruit acidity, caramel, and nut flavors.
After receiving the coffee beans, we need to prepare an espresso grinder, grind the coffee beans into extremely fine particles, then put them into the portafilter basket of the coffee machine and distribute them evenly. Then use the included tamping tool to press them flat and firm, lock it onto the coffee machine, and press the extraction button.

Since every grinder and coffee machine has different performance, generally extracting 20g of coffee liquid from 10g of coffee grounds, or 40g of coffee liquid from 20g of coffee grounds, requires 25-30 seconds. After extracting the espresso, everyone can taste it and then decide whether to adjust the grind coarser (lighter) or finer (stronger).

After making the espresso, you can use the steam wand to heat and froth the milk.
The preparation ratio for latte is: 20g espresso + 160ml milk + 1cm thick milk foam. After the milk and coffee are evenly blended, the overall balance is good and the mouthfeel is smooth. The total capacity is about 200ml, so everyone needs to prepare a 200ml bowl-shaped latte cup for making it.

Mocha coffee, a chocolate-flavored Italian milk coffee. The preparation ratio is 20g espresso + 10g chocolate sauce + 150ml milk + 1cm thick milk foam. If conditions permit, you can also add your favorite marshmallows on top to increase the sweet aroma and taste. It is made in a similar way to latte, so everyone can prepare a 200–300ml bowl-shaped latte cup for making it.

The preparation ratio for cappuccino is: 40g espresso + 120g milk + 1.5cm thick milk foam, with a total capacity of about 200ml. Compared with latte, cappuccino is a milk coffee with a stronger coffee taste and denser, thicker milk foam. The first sip feels like marshmallow. When making cappuccino, the milk foam must be piled high, so it is recommended to use a 200ml straight-sided/tulip-shaped coffee cup.

The preparation ratio for macchiato is: 20g espresso + a little bit of milk foam. This cup of coffee is actually espresso with a little milk foam added on top. It looks very small, and the overall taste is rich and mellow, so Front Street recommends using an espresso cup directly to serve it.
