Cold brew coffee is best finished within6days, with the best taste on the third day, but it depends on the extraction method and the beans
Americano is made by extracting coffee liquid from an espresso machine under high pressure and high temperature, then pouring it into a cup filled with ice water, and the Americano is done. Cold brew coffee, on the other hand, is much more accessible—no need for an expensive espresso machine, or even a grinder. Just buy freshly ground coffee powder, put it in a filter bag and seal it, soak it in ice water, and leave it in the fridge for about 12 hours, and your cold brew coffee is ready. Isn't it simple and cheap? You can easily make it at home.
The filtered cold brew can be stored in the fridge for about 5-7 days; don't drink it after a week. In terms of taste, the longer it sits, the stronger the fermented flavor becomes, and most beans start to decline in flavor after 2-3 days.

Many friends, while enjoying a cup of coffee at Front Street, also pick up a few bags of beans to take home. Some friends make cold brew at home and ask what coffee beans are suitable for cold brew. Actually, any type of coffee bean is suitable for making cold brew; beans from different regions will produce cold brew with different flavor profiles.

For those who enjoy floral flavors, we recommend Front Street Panama Geisha coffee, one of the most expensive coffees in the world; for those who like fresh, slightly acidic coffee, we recommend Front Street Ethiopia Huakui coffee beans, with notes of black tea and berries; for those who prefer a balanced nutty and caramel taste—neither sour nor bitter—we recommend Front Street Brazil Red Bourbon coffee beans; and if you still love the solid, full-bodied taste of Indonesian coffee, we suggest buying the highest-grade Front Street Golden Mandheling coffee, which undergoes multiple rounds of hand sorting to minimize defect rates, resulting in clearer aroma and better sweetness. All the above coffee beans can be purchased at Front Street stores and the Front Street Tmall flagship store.

This time, Front Street Coffee (FrontStreet Coffee) plans to use drip coffee bags to make cold brew. Below are 10 drip coffee bags listed by Front Street; you can choose according to your preference.
How to make cold brew?
Step 1: Prepare two drip coffee bags
Grind size and parameters are indeed troublesome for many people, and fresh grinding requires preparing a grinder first, which is too costly. At this point, just two fresh drip coffee bags can easily meet the requirements for making cold brew! Simple and affordable! Here, Front Street Strawberry Candy drip bags are used to make cold brew. This is a Geisha blend composed of Costa Rica and Panama, with flavors of raisins, strawberry gummies, and pink florals, suitable for various brewing methods.

Generally, cold brew extraction is slower and extracts less material than hot water extraction, so the coffee-to-water ratio should be larger, usually around 1:10. That is, one drip bag (10g of powder) paired with about 100g of water, plus the coffee grounds absorb water, so you may end up with only about 80g of cold brew coffee. Since the wait is so long, of course it's better to make more at once to have enough to drink.
Step 2: Soak and refrigerate
Prepare a container—any material will do: plastic, glass, ceramic, etc. It doesn't matter if it has a lid or not, but make sure it's deep enough to hold the coffee and water. First, tear open the drip bags and pour the coffee powder into the container (don't throw away the drip filter bags! You'll need them!). Then add the ice-water mixture. Low-temperature extraction is the hallmark of cold brew coffee. Extracting with 4°C water versus 24°C water will give you different flavors~

Stir gently and make sure all your coffee grounds are moistened and submerged. Then place it in the refrigerator to soak for 12 hours. The soaking time is very important. Not enough time will result in under-extraction and a weaker flavor; too much time... you'll be waiting painfully! Haha~
Step 3: Filter
After a full 12 hours of waiting, the coffee soaking and extraction is finally complete! Now prepare a cup for the cold brew coffee. You still haven't thrown away the drip bag filter bags, right? Pour the soaked cold brew coffee into the filter bag to strain out the grounds. After it's fully filtered, you'll have your very own cold brew coffee.

Just like that, you can have delicious cold brew coffee in a super simple way, and it can be kept refrigerated for up to two weeks. You can add ice to adjust the concentration, or add milk or anything else you'd like to flavor it.
Slow work yields fine results. Cold brew coffee is like the essence extracted by time, every drop so precious. Whether to cool off or to try something new, any coffee lover absolutely must not miss the great taste of cold brew coffee!

Cold brew coffee can be very strong. You can reduce the concentration by adding ice cubes; how much ice to add depends on your preference. For the sake of our health, Front Street recommends drinking the cold brew within 5 days, as this makes it less likely to spoil.
