What Costa Coffee Company Information Does Not Cover
A class-action lawsuit by former Wahaha Group employees has entered judicial proceedings after dozens said they were told to end their Wahaha contracts and sign with Hongsheng Beverage Group, controlled by Zong Fuli, losing dry-share dividend benefits. A separate transfer of Hangzhou Xiaoshan Shunfa Food Packaging equity to Zong Fuli for zero yuan raised questions about employee investment returns.
Wahaha issued a statement calling some media reports seriously inaccurate, saying the union had not received litigation information from a so-called rights protection committee and that the equity repurchase and transfer were lawful and valid. The statement did not address re-signing contracts or the zero-yuan transfer, leaving several questions unresolved.
Recently, the Wahaha Group has become the focus of public opinion due to a class-action lawsuit filed by several former employees. According to reports, since August, some employees have been required to terminate their contracts with the Wahaha Group and instead sign with Hongsheng Beverage Group, which is controlled by Zong Fuli, and their original dry-share dividend benefits were consequently canceled. At the same time, the equity of Hangzhou Xiaoshan Shunfa Food Packaging Co., Ltd. was transferred to Zong Fuli's personal name for zero yuan, triggering employees' concerns about investment returns. In response, Wahaha recently issued a statement saying that some media reports were seriously inaccurate, that the union had not received litigation information from the so-called rights protection committee, and that the equity repurchase and transfer were lawful and valid. However, the statement did not mention key details such as re-signing contracts and the zero-yuan transfer, and many questions remain about the incident.

Yesterday, the topic #WahahaSuedByMultipleFormerEmployees# hit the trending list, sparking widespread attention.
According to media disclosures, multiple former employees and insiders of the Wahaha Group revealed that since August, they had been successively required to terminate their labor contracts with the Wahaha Group and instead sign new contracts with Hongsheng Beverage Group, which is controlled by Zong Fuli. After the contract change, the "dry-share dividend" benefits employees originally enjoyed at the Wahaha Group were completely canceled. At present, dozens of employees have initiated a class-action lawsuit to defend their rights, which has entered judicial proceedings and is awaiting formal acceptance by the court.
In addition, the report also mentioned that Hangzhou Xiaoshan Shunfa Food Packaging Co., Ltd. recently underwent equity changes, with the equity held in the company by the Joint Committee of the Grassroots Trade Union of Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd. all transferred to Zong Fuli's personal name at a price of zero yuan. Employees questioned the decision and price of the equity transfer, believing that this move may affect the vital investment returns of Wahaha Group employees.
Since the death of founder Zong Qinghou earlier this year and Zong Fuli's succession, Wahaha, this long-established enterprise, has remained in the vortex of public opinion. Previously, there were rumors that "Zong Fuli resigned from her position and would no longer participate in Wahaha's operations and management," which stirred up a storm, and the outside world speculated one after another about whether there was internal strife within the group. Subsequently, Wahaha issued a statement saying that Zong Fuli would continue to perform the group's relevant management duties.
On August 31, information from Tianyancha showed that Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd. underwent industrial and commercial changes, with Zong Fuli serving as legal representative, chairman, and general manager. The previous disputes then subsided, and the new leader took full control and began vigorously advancing reforms.

However, the current incident of "multiple former employees suing Wahaha" has once again made the outside world doubt the group's internal management. In response to this matter, Wahaha issued a statement yesterday afternoon, saying that some media reports were seriously inaccurate and caused great damage to the reputation of the Trade Union Federation Committee of Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "union").
Wahaha said that the union had never heard of information related to the "Wahaha Rights Protection Committee," and currently had not received litigation information filed by the so-called "Wahaha Rights Protection Committee."
According to the union's understanding, the internal equity repurchase matter of the Employee Shareholding Committee of Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co., Ltd. had already been approved by a full resolution of the member representative assembly, and the relevant agreements were voluntarily signed by members of the shareholding committee, lawful and valid, with no circumstance harming the rights and interests of shareholding committee members.
Regarding the equity transfer issue of Xiaoshan Shunfa mentioned in the report, the union said it was a normal shareholder change, and the equity transfer was lawful and valid, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and confirmed upon review by the industrial and commercial authorities, with no special reasons as speculated by the outside world. Wahaha said that the union's management and work order are currently all normal.

It is worth noting that the statement did not mention key details such as "requiring Wahaha employees to re-sign contracts with Hongsheng Group" and "the transfer price of Xiaoshan Shunfa equity being zero yuan."
